Unless stated otherwise, all massages at Armadale Remedial Massage are performed using Melrose H2O water soluble massage oil. This oil is odourless, non-irritating, non-allergenic, non-greasy, does not stain clothing and being water soluble, washes off easily.

Other oils are available, including Sweet Almond Oil and Jojoba. If you have any issues or concerns regarding oils, please advise your therapist.

Aromatherapy

Pure essential oils are available at no extra cost. Please feel free to request an aromatherapy blend individually tailored to your mood.

Sinus & Allergy Sufferers
Allergies are common year round, and many people who have allergies and/or sinus issues may feel congested lying face down. Please let me know if you are feeling stuffy, and I can make up a blend of essentials oils sprinkled onto a clean tissue and placed under the face crest, which is very effective at relieving sinus pressure & respiratory congestion.

Warming treats

Hot stones & hot towel compresses are incorporated into most sessions. The soothing warmth from the stones and compresses penetrates the muscles, increasing circulation, softening and relaxing the tissue and melting away stress. These treats are especially popular over the winter months.

The stone & towel warmers do produce a bit of warmth & on warmer days can make the room a bit humid & stuffy & counteracts the air conditioning. For this reason, on days when it's warm/humid the machines are switched off . If you're particularly fond of these features, please let me know & I'll be happy to warm things up for you.

Update! As of 13th April, 2010 the hot towels & hot stones are back!

Liniments and Lotions

Selected products such as Tiger Balm and Zheng Gu Shui are available for use as required.

We believe that the right mood is a key part of enjoying your massage. We offer a broad selection of music including ambient, instrumental, chill out and classical styles. If you have a preference for a particular style of music, please mention this to your therapist.
